I made the trip up to Lucia Falls in Washington for the first Axial West Coast Championship Qualifier this past weekend. Winning this comp gets you a paid ride into the Axial West Coast Championships in Donner California, one of the biggest, baddest R/C rock crawling events of the year!! Axial Team Driver Nathan Eells (aka Tanis on RCCrawler.com) and his SWX chassis walked away with the win, and paid invite for the 2009 WCC event. Congrats again Nathan on an awesome victory over some of the best drivers in the nation. Look for the full write-up on the event with tons of pictures soon right here on Axial’s Blog. Also keep an eye out for the announcement of Axial’s full team of drivers as well.

Way to go Nathan! Your drive on course the final stage was amazing, but I have to say I will never forget your save on course three. Simply the most extreme line and level of commitment I have ever seen in any comp.

Sweet pics Brad! What a fun event, the competition was tight, with a bunch of great drivers putting on a display of great ability. It was a pleasure to be a part of and rekindled a spark inside me. I couldn’t have done it without my SWX chassis, thanks for a great design Brad

Nice job Nathan, way to beat a mutual hero, and teammate for you…Looks like it was some fierce competition!!! I agree the SWX kicks ass, but the driver is 90% of the game…Thumbsup Nathan!!!
